Schedule Airline Failure Insurance
As the name suggests, Schedule Airline Failure Insurance covers customers who book a scheduled flight ticket with us against the financial failure of any scheduled airline. In the unlikely event of the financial failure of the airline for any sector to be operated by the failed airline, you are covered for all monies paid in respect of transportation on that airline prior to flight departure OR if after departure the cost of a return flight to the UK or onward flight(s) for any sector to be operated by the failed airline in order to complete the pre-arranged journey at the same standard as that booked.

COVER

Should the airline from which you have purchased your scheduled airline ticket fail prior to your departure. the insurance will cover you for your deposit relating to the airlines tickets or their airfares that you have paid in advance.

Under the policy, you are covered up to and not exceeding £3000 in total for each Person-Insured named on the Invoice and Airline Ticket for:

1. Irrecoverable sums paid in advance for an insolvent airlines tickets in the event of insolvency of the scheduled airline

or

2. In the event of airline insolvency after departure:

a.) Additional pro rata costs incurred by the Person-Insured in replacing that part of the flight arrangements with the insolvent airline to a similar standard to that originally booked or

b.) If curtailment of the holiday is unavoidable - the cost of return flights to the United Kingdom or any European Union member country to a similar standard to that originally booked.

Scheduled flights not booked within the United Kingdom
Scheduled flights not booked through us
The Financial Failure of:

a.) Any scheduled airline in Chapter 11 or any threat of insolvency being known at the date of issue of the Certificate.

b.) Any scheduled airline who is bonded or insured by you elsewhere (even if the bond is insufficient to meet the claim)

c.) Any travel agent, tour organiser, booking agent or consolidator with whom the insured has booked a scheduled flight.

CLAIM PROCEDURE

Claims can be made via us (Ickenham Travel Group PLC) or directly with a claim form by the individual passengers. You must inform us immediately but no later than 7 days after the airline has failed by contacting our call centre on 0871 208 0090.
